Prabhu Caran dasa - Mayapur Gurukul

Sri Radha MAdhava

When I was in Mayapura Gurukula, SRPV, in flood time I decide to go to Nepal, and visit Muktinath. Week before I WROTE LETTER TO my Guru Maharaja, HDG Rohinisuta Prabhu, and I told him that I am going to Nepal and I will look for Saligrama, since that He gave me permission to worship...so on the same morning when I was leaving to JPG, and Sili guri, on the border India and Nepal, I got letter from him, where he wrote me: Don't ever order Lord Sila to come to you, or don't ever order anyone to bring it for you.....when you are ready He will come.....

So I went to Nepal and I went to Muktinath, and I was looking so many Saligramas in Gandaki on the way up, but when ever I will see some very nice one, and thought to keep it, the words from my Guru Maharaj will come to my mind, and I wont be able to take it....I will just pick Him up, and walk with Him for a while just to not be alone, and have some company, and later on I will put Him back in to the river.....on the end, I went up and down and I went to Kathmandu and I went to Pasupatinath mandir, famous temple of Lord Siva, and there is so many shops and all of them sell Saligramas, to the tourists....and I was looking in so many of them...and in that time I was looking for Damodara Sila......since shastra says that one who worship that sila, gets mantra siddhi, and our mantra is Hare Krsna mahamantra, so what a better deal you can get, plus Radha Raman deitys are self manifested from Damodara sila, and plus Jagannatha Misra and Sacimata, use to worship Lord Damodara as well, so I got some special attraction for Him.....So I was asking in some shops and in one shop I ask do they have some more silas somewhere behind...and the guy told me to go up stairs, with his son, 7-8 year old boy, and when I went up, I saw wo many bags and baskets full of saligramas...thousands of them....so I was looking one by one, and at that moment, the little boy, the owner's son, took one bag and threw it on the floor and threw all silas on the floor, and I was telling him, no no, don't do it, but it was to late, and all Lords was everywhere in the room.....big small, with huge chakras, small chakras, with holes, smooth, so many, so many...but again the line from my Guru Maharaj came through my mind and I didn't take any.....so I went back to Mayapura and I was sitting in the Gurukula with Goura Narayana prabhu and other few boys when one of Prabhupada disciples came and told us that in grihasta area in Mayapura there is one couple and they have bunch of silas and there is some of them on one plate that they do not worship, and amongst them there is a wonderful Krsna Sila, with sign of calf footprint and small stick popping out from the body, and small brahmin thread, etc....so he said that we should go and take it for Gurukula....so me and Goura Narayana prabhu, who was in  that time Gurukula principle went there to check it out....that time only wife was there and she was not sure should she gave anything or not, because she was kind of attach I guess a bit for them, although she didn't do any worship....so on the same plate, it was Lord of my heart...he was laying down and immediately I pick Him up and I was looking on different signs, and Goura Narayana prabhu saw that I am kind of interested in Him, and he knew that I have permission to worship, and that I am looking for one, and that I even went to Nepal, to get one but I didn't...but he didn't say anything...so we went back and we decide that we will come back when Prabhu comes back from Bangladesh in a few days.....and that happened after few weeks.....
So on the morning of 2nd January 2000, we supposed to make a tour around South India, and do some deity installations and ratha yatras, and preaching, with Jananirvasa prabhu...so on that morning everybody went to Candrodaya mandir to take darshan of Radha Madhava before we leave, and only myself and Goura Narayana stay there to pack up our stuff, the last ones....so we was walking toward temple, and then we decide to go and see if prabhu is back from a trip, and he was there...so we went inside and we took another look at the Saligramas, and we had a talk with him and he said that from that plate we can take what ever we want...so while I was talking with prabhu, Goura Narayana collected Silas and we left toward temple.... when we got there, taxi was waiting for us to take us to Calcutta train station, and just in front of the car, Goura Narayana took out from His pocket all the Silas and he gave them one by one to Ananda Tirtha prabhu who was staying that time in the Gurukula to take care of deity worship and fire sacrifices....and he was giving him Krsna Sila and Kurma sila, to take back to Gurukula, and he took out Radha Madhava and turn to me and said , "This is for you!"....I was so happy I ask him, how he knew...and he said that he noticed how I was looking at Him, so he knew that I like Him.....so I gave him to Ananda Tirtha to look after temporarily, and after I came back I just start worshiping....

After few days I took him to Jananirvasa prabhu, and he and Pankajangri prabhu was checking him out, and they was saying that is Sudarsana, and then they said that is Ananta...but then they notice a golden line on the left hand side, and they said or, Lakshmi Narayana....since that gold represent Laksmi....and then I ask if I can worship Him as a Radha and Krsna, and they said of course, since that Laksmi is expansion of Radharani.....so I ask Jananivasa prabhu how I should call Him, and what else he will say then His worshippable Deities, Radha Madhava.....and he add that this deity's that I have are not different from Radha Madhava in Mayapura, in Candrodaya mandir.....

One interesting thing is that this Sila is never being worship before....

There is a few more stories but I will have to leave something for the next time.....
